Concerns: First Steps

Step 1:  I have concerns about my child but I am not sure what is considered typical development.

Please see the link to the right labeled “Developmental Milestones”.  There you will find a few resources to help you learn the skills most children accomplish by given ages.

Step 2:  I have reviewed the Developmental Milestone resources and still have questions.  Who do I call?

If your child is age 3 – 5 years of age and you live in Cumberland County, we invite you to contact us.  You will find our contact information if you click on the box above labeled “Staff Directory”.  A screening may help to determine if more comprehensive testing is needed.  Early-In conducts developmental screenings monthly.  You may request an appointment for a screening when you call.

If your child is age 3 – 5 years and you live on Ft. Bragg or in the Linden Oaks area, call:
Ft. Bragg Schools at 910.907.0200 or go to their Website at http://www.dodea.edu/Americas/midAtlantic/FortBragg/aboutNCfortBragg.cfm

If your child is age birth – under 3 years and you live on Ft. Bragg or in the Linden Oaks area, call:
Educational & Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) at 910.907.3347.

If your child is age birth to under 3 years and you live in Cumberland County, call:
Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) at 910.486.1605.  You can also visit the NC Early Intervention Website at www.ncei.org

Step 3:  I have contacted Early-In to schedule an appointment and would like to begin completing the requested forms.

You may use the links below to complete the requested forms for this process, once you have a scheduled appointment.  Please complete these forms and bring them with you to your scheduled appointment.
